Do I need permission to replace windows in a listed building or conservation area?
Additional consent may be required when replacing or altering windows in a listed building, conservation area or property affected by an Article 4 Direction. Requirements vary according to the property, location and proposed work, and listed building consent may be required where alterations affect the character of a listed building.
Building Regulations are separate from planning and listed building consent and may also apply. If you’re unsure, we recommend checking with your Local Planning Authority or Building Control before work begins.
