Our Story

James Wilding Joinery was founded on a passion for traditional craftsmanship, exceptional quality and truly bespoke joinery. After several years perfecting his skills with a highly respected local joinery company, James set up his own workshop with a clear vision: to design and manufacture bespoke timber windows, bespoke timber doors and handcrafted joinery built to last for generations.

From humble beginnings in a small workshop in Gargrave, James and his wife Emily have grown the business into the thriving Yorkshire‑based workshop it is today, located just outside Skipton in Craven. Working alongside a dedicated team of skilled craftsmen, they design, manufacture and install Bespoke Accoya doors and windows, hardwood doors, heritage joinery, staircases, handmade kitchens and fitted furniture for homeowners, architects and trade professionals across Skipton, Ilkley, Wharfedale, Settle, The Ribble Valley, Craven, the Yorkshire Dales and beyond.

As the workshop has grown, so too has their family. James and Emily are proud parents to Amelia and Arabella, and remain committed to building a family‑run business grounded in quality, integrity and outstanding customer service.
