Bespoke Joinery Designed & Manufactured in Yorkshire
At James Wilding Joinery, we design and manufacture bespoke timber joinery for traditional and contemporary properties throughout Yorkshire and surrounding areas.
From our workshop in Rylstone, near Skipton, our skilled team combines traditional craftsmanship with modern manufacturing precision to create individually made timber windows, doors, staircases, kitchens and fitted furniture.
Whether you’re restoring a period property, renovating a country home, planning a contemporary extension or commissioning bespoke interior joinery, every project begins with understanding the property, the way the space will be used and the architectural character you want to achieve.
From timber selection and proportions to glazing, architectural detailing, ironmongery and factory finishes, each specification is developed around the individual project.

Bespoke Timber Doors
Our bespoke timber doors are individually designed and handcrafted to complement the architecture and character of your property.
From traditional entrance doors and stable doors to French doors, bi-fold doors and contemporary designs, each door can be tailored through its proportions, panel arrangements, glazing, mouldings, architectural ironmongery and factory finish.
Manufactured using carefully selected timbers and premium-quality hardware, every specification is developed around the requirements of the individual project.
Bespoke Timber Staircases
A bespoke staircase can become an important architectural feature within a home. We design and manufacture individually made timber staircases for renovations, extensions, period properties and contemporary interiors.
From traditional Oak staircases and carefully detailed balustrades to cleaner contemporary designs, proportions, timber, newel posts, handrails, spindles and other details can all be developed around the architecture and interior character of the property.
Bespoke Fitted Furniture
Our bespoke fitted furniture is designed around your home, your available space and the way each room needs to function.
From fitted wardrobes and alcove cabinetry to media units, boot rooms, utility storage, shelving and other made-to-measure furniture, each piece is individually designed and manufactured for the project.
Materials, proportions, internal layouts, hardware and finishes can all be tailored to complement the surrounding interior and make thoughtful use of the available space.
Bespoke Timber Windows
We design and manufacture bespoke timber windows for traditional, heritage and contemporary properties, with every window individually made to suit the architecture and requirements of the project.
Our window range includes flush casement windows, sliding sash windows, heritage timber windows, stormproof windows and other made-to-measure designs, with a choice of carefully selected Accoya®, European Oak and Sapele.
Glazing, proportions, mouldings, glazing bars, architectural hardware and professional factory-applied finishes can all be specified according to the individual property and desired appearance.
Bespoke Handmade Kitchens
Our bespoke kitchens are individually designed around the property, the available space and the way you want to use your kitchen.
From cabinetry and islands to pantries, storage and carefully considered architectural details, each kitchen is made to order in our Yorkshire workshop using quality materials, traditional cabinetmaking skills and modern manufacturing precision.
Timbers, painted finishes, hardware, internal storage and design details can all be tailored to create a kitchen that feels completely at home within its surroundings.
Bespoke Joinery Designed Around Your Property
Every bespoke joinery project is different. The most appropriate materials, proportions, detailing and finishes will depend on the architecture of the property, the intended use of the joinery and the desired appearance.
Working from our workshop in Rylstone, near Skipton, we can guide you through the options available, from timber selection and architectural detailing to glazing, hardware and professional factory-applied finishes.
For period and heritage properties, existing joinery and architectural details can be carefully considered when developing new windows, doors and other bespoke elements. For contemporary projects, cleaner profiles, natural materials and carefully proportioned detailing can be developed around the architecture of the building.
