Our Wood
There are many different types of wood available on the market and typically some are more suited to certain types of joinery than others. Tulipwood for example is excellent for use on internal joinery but wouldn’t fare so well if it was used as part of a window exposed to the elements. Below are a few of the common types of wood that we use for our external joinery and some of their benefits.
ACCOYA

EUROPEAN OAK
European Oak is an attractive hardwood that is versatile, durable and blends in incredibly well with its surroundings. This wood is an extremely popular choice for both interior and exterior joinery due to its traditional appearance. European Oak has a straight grain and is a light tan to biscuit colour. Often doors made from this material are stained with UV protection to emphasize the character of the wood.
